Cary Horvath, Odelson & Sterk Partner and City Attorney of Calumet City, attended the swearing-in of the new Chief of Police, Chris Fletcher, on April 14, 2016. Chief Fletcher is a 29-year veteran of the Chicago Police Department. Mayor Michelle Markiewicz Qualkinbush selected Chief Fletcher, who received unanimous approval from the City Council. Chief Fletcher succeeds Chief Edward Gilmore, who was selected by President Obama to be the U.S. Marshal for the Northern District of Illinois. Congratulations to Chief Fletcher and the City of Calumet City!
